Cookie Policy

This page explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on this site, which categories exist, and how to allow, change, or withdraw your consent.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and, in some cases, remember information about your visit. This policy also covers similar browser storage technologies, such as session storage.

The categories we use

Necessary — always on, indispensable for the site to work and for recording your own cookie choice. Analytics — optional, measuring page usage in aggregate; in this category we use Google Analytics 4. Marketing — optional, intended to measure the results of advertising campaigns; at this stage we have no tool of this category configured. Both optional categories are off by default, nothing is pre-selected, and they are independent of each other: allowing Analytics does not allow Marketing.

Necessary cookies and browser storage

NEXT_LOCALE (necessary): a first-party cookie that stores the language you chose so that browsing continues in the same language. It is a session cookie — it has no set expiry and is deleted when you close your browser. fs_consent (necessary): a first-party cookie that records only your cookie decision — which categories you allowed, the version of the consent text, and the date of the choice. It contains no name, e-mail, phone number, or any form answer. Duration: 180 days. In addition, the case assessment form uses browser session storage so that what you have already filled in is not lost; that data stays on your device and is deleted when you close the tab.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4

We use Google Tag Manager as our tag manager: it does not measure anything by itself, it only loads the tools you have allowed. The tag container is loaded only after you allow the Analytics or the Marketing category: on a first visit, and also if you reject the non-essential categories, no third-party script is loaded at all. The analytics tool we use is Google Analytics 4, which measures in aggregate which pages are viewed and how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 runs only if you allow the Analytics category; without that permission it is not loaded and collects nothing. Google Ads, Meta Pixel, the Meta Conversions API, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar and any other advertising or session-recording tool are not configured. Internal preview addresses, used only for team testing, are excluded from measurement and are not part of production data.

Analytics cookies

If — and only if — you allow the Analytics category, Google Analytics 4 writes two first-party cookies on this domain: _ga, which distinguishes visitors, and a cookie beginning with _ga_ followed by the data stream identifier, which keeps the measurement session state. Both hold a random identifier assigned to your browser; they hold no name, e-mail, phone number, or any case assessment form answer. The default duration of these cookies in Google Analytics 4 is 2 years, and this site does not change that value. If you withdraw consent, they are deleted.

Marketing cookies

At this stage there are no marketing or advertising cookies on this site — no Google Ads, no Meta Pixel, no equivalents. The Marketing category stays separate from the Analytics category precisely for this reason: allowing site measurement does not allow advertising. If a tool of this category is configured in the future, it will only be able to run with your express consent for Marketing, and this policy will be updated beforehand with the name of each cookie, its purpose, and its duration.

How your choice is applied

Before any choice is made, Google's consent signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are set to denied. If you allow Analytics, analytics_storage becomes granted and Google Analytics 4 may start measuring. If you allow Marketing, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization become granted. Anything you do not allow stays denied: while analytics_storage is denied, no measurement is collected and no analytics cookie is written.

How to change or withdraw consent

At any time, use “Cookie settings” in the site footer to review your choice and switch each optional category on or off. When you withdraw consent, we stop loading the tag container and delete from this domain the analytics and advertising cookies already stored, including the Google Analytics 4 _ga cookies; the page is reloaded so that nothing keeps running. Your choice applies across the whole site, regardless of language. If the consent text changes materially, we will ask for your choice again.

Future changes

This policy describes the tools actually configured on this site and will be updated whenever a new analytics or advertising tool is enabled — in particular Google Ads and Meta Pixel, which are not configured today — clearly describing its purpose, the cookies used, and their duration.
